Why I am a Fredhead.

from Stop the ACLU

WHY I AM A FREDHEAD

by @ 6:36 am. Filed under ACLU

The summary below is excerpted from a hostile source but I still like what I hear:

Thompson, who is expected to enter the presidential race formally in
September, but plans to campaign in Iowa on Friday, was not known as a
big-ideas guy and was hardly a heavy-hitter when it came to legislation
during his Senate career from 1994 to 2002. Still, he was considered a
reliably conservative vote on economic, security and social issues
alike. He backed Bush’s tax cuts, a prohibition on a late-term abortion
procedure and voted to give the president the authority to invade Iraq.

More prominently, he established a reputation for working to limit
the role of the federal government and protect states rights - an issue
that remains very important to him and, perhaps, is an indication of
what may lie at the root of his candidacy.

Broadly, he favors a strong federalist approach that emphasizes
personal liberties and fiscal conservatism. “Centralized government is
not the solution to all of our problems and, with too much power, such
centralization has a way of compounding our problems,” Thompson wrote
in a recent column on his Web site. “This was among the great insights
of 1787,” when the Constitution was adopted, “and it is just as vital
in 2007.” He adds: “How we draw the line between federal and state
roles in this century, and how we stay true to the principles of
federalism for the purpose of protecting economic and individual
freedom, are questions we must answer.”

Thompson also:

* Splits with Bush on immigration, opposing the president’s
comprehensive immigration law overhaul bill and, instead, argues for
increased border security as well as full enforcement of current
federal immigration laws. The issue has divided the GOP, and Thompson
is seeking the support of Republicans who object to illegal immigrants
getting a path to U.S. citizenship. In one online column, he says:
“Federal law must be enforced, or our neighborhoods will continue to be
the scene of chilling and lurid crimes committed by those who broke the
law in the first place to come to America.”

* Appears to take a hard-line approach to foreign policy. He
criticizes the United Nations, saying the world body “seems to oppose
human freedom rather than promote it.” And, in one particularly
incendiary commentary for ABC radio in April, he carried on about the
perception of the U.S. around the world and its relationships with
certain countries. He assails Mexico on immigration, arguing that
leaders there “apparently have an economic policy based on exporting
their own citizens while complaining about U.S. immigration policies
that are far less exclusionary than their own.” He adds: “The French
jail perfectly nice people for politically incorrect comments, but
scold us for holding terrorists at Guantanamo.” Thompson saves his most
aggressive comments for Russia, contending that ex-KGB agents
“apparently” run the country, use their oil wealth to engage in
blackmail, and dispose of people who cross them. “Oppose the Russian
leadership, and you could trip and fall off a tall building or stumble
into the path of a bullet.”

* Emphasizes individuals’ right to keep and bear arms, as well as
the right to own and keep property. He suggests in one online piece
that the Virginia Tech massacre could have been deterred had those who
were at least age 21 and met certain criteria been allowed to carry
concealed weapons on school grounds. In the Senate, Thompson voted
against requiring criminal background checks for purchases at gun
shows.

* In a recent commentary, he assailed a 2005 Supreme Court decision
giving local governments broad power to seize private property to
generate tax revenue.

* Calls Bush’s tax cuts a “success story” that helped grow the
economy and says: “Letting them expire would amount to a tax hike of
historic proportions.” He also says the president should hold the line
on spending.

Mass Murder Made to Order for Democrats in US Congress

From Ralph Peters:

August 16, 2007 -- TWO days
ago, al Qaeda detonated four massive truck bombs in three Iraqi vil
lages, killing at least 250 civilians (perhaps as many as 500) and
wounding many more. The bombings were a sign of al Qaeda's frustration,
desperation and fear.

The victims were ethnic Kurd Yazidis,
members of a minor sect with pre-Islamic roots. Muslim extremists
condemn them (wrongly) as devil worshippers. The Yazidis live on the
fringes of society.

That's one of the two reasons al Qaeda
targeted those settlements: The terrorist leaders realize now that the
carnage they wrought on fellow Muslims backfired, turning
once-sympathetic Sunni Arabs against them. The fanatics calculated that
Iraqis wouldn't care much about the Yazidis. [. . .]

But the
second reason for those dramatic bombings was that al Qaeda needs to
portray Iraq as a continuing failure of U.S. policy. Those dead and
maimed Yazidis were just props: The intended audience was Congress.

Al
Qaeda has been badly battered. It's lost top leaders and thousands of
cadres. Even more painful for the Islamists, they've lost ground among
the people of Iraq, including former allies. Iraqis got a good taste of
al Qaeda. Now they're spitting it out.

The foreign terrorists
slaughtering the innocent recognize that their only remaining hope of
pulling off a come-from-way-behind win is to convince your senator and
your congressman or -woman that it's politically expedient to hand a
default victory to a defeated al Qaeda.

Expect more attempts to
generate massive bloodshed in Iraq in the coming weeks. The terrorists
are well aware of the exaggerated-by-all-parties importance of Gen.
David Petraeus' Sept. 15 progress report to Congress. They'll do all
they can to embarrass the general and provide ammunition to the
surrender caucus.

Al Qaeda has studied Vietnam, the are seeking their verison of the Tet Offensive, where the US Press only reported the first day of the offensive and willfully did not report the crushing defeat of the North Vietnamese Army that followed.

Al Qaeda needs the support of the US Media..because it has been defeated on the ground. And only the US Media and its allies in the Democratic Party can save these terrorists.

Self-attacking Muslims?

A week or so ago in Arizona, CAIR was crying about a hate crime. A bottle of Mentos and Diet Coke was throw in the general direction of the double-wide trailer used as an unmarked Mosque. This occurred at 1:30 AM, and later that same day, CAIR had a 10-page press release published.
Now in California, a Mosque was torched, and CAIR is immediately screaming hate crime.

A couple of months back, FBI reports revealed a very, very low rate of crime against Muslims, CAIR advised Muslims to be more aggressive in reporting crimes against Muslims.
Were these incidents in Arizona and California caused by: a) bored thrill seeking teenagers, b) persons attacking Muslims, or c) staged incidents where Muslims are pretending to attack Muslims.

I think the likely answer is A. and the next most likely answer is C.

Dutch Catholic Bishop: Christians Should Pray to Allah

from LittleGreenFootballs
The Roman Catholic bishop of Breda in the Netherlands wants Christians to start praying to Allah.

To promote healing and tolerance.

There is one major problem with this:

Allah is Satan.
That is the only answer for ISLAM's actions.
Islam demands submission,
Islam endorses the torture/murder of INNOCENT men, women and children,
Only SATAN would support that.

God does not support murder.
God allows free will.

Allah is not God, but rather Allah is the Devil.

Allah is EVIL.
God is GOOD.

Sheep, Wolves, and Sheepdogs

William J. Bennett, in a lecture to the United States Naval Academy November 24, 1997 said:

"Most
of the people in our society are sheep. They are kind, gentle,
productive creatures who can only hurt one another by accident. We may
well be in the most violent times in history, but violence is still
remarkably rare. They are sheep.

Then
there are the wolves and the wolves feed on the sheep without mercy. Do
you believe there are wolves out there who will feed on the flock
without mercy? You better believe it. There are evil men in this world
and they are capable of evil deeds. The moment you forget that or
pretend it is not so, you become a sheep. There is no safety in denial.

Then
there are sheepdogs. I'm a sheepdog. I live to protect the flock and
confront the wolf. If you have no capacity for violence then you are a
healthy productive citizen, a sheep. If you have a capacity for
violence and no empathy for your fellow citizens, then you have defined
an aggressive sociopath, a wolf.

But
what if you have a capacity for violence, and a deep love for your
fellow citizens? What do you have then? A sheepdog, a warrior, someone
who is walking the uncharted path. Someone who can walk into the heart
of darkness, into the universal human phobia, and walk out unscathed."

We
know that the sheep live in denial; that is what makes them sheep. They
do not want to believe that there is evil in the world. They can accept
the fact that fires can happen, which is why they want fire
extinguishers, fire sprinklers, fire alarms and fire exits throughout
their kids schools. But many of them are outraged at the idea of
putting an armed police officer in their kid's school. Our children are
thousands of times more likely to be killed or seriously injured by
school violence than fire, but the sheep's only response to the
possibility of violence is denial. The idea of someone coming to kill
or harm their child is just too hard, and so they chose the path of
denial.

The sheep generally do not
like the sheepdog. He looks a lot like the wolf. He has fangs and the
capacity for violence. The difference, though, is that the sheepdog
must not, can not and will not ever harm the sheep. Any sheep dog who
intentionally harms the lowliest little lamb will be punished and
removed.

The world can not work any
other way, at least not in a representative democracy or a republic
such as ours. Still, the sheepdog disturbs the sheep. He is a constant
reminder that there are wolves in the land. They would prefer that he
didn't tell them where to go, or give them traffic tickets, or stand at
the ready in our airports, in camouflage fatigues, holding an M-16. The
sheep would much rather have the sheepdog cash in his fangs, spray
paint himself white, and go, Baa. Until the wolf shows up; then the
entire flock tries desperately to hide behind one lonely sheepdog.

"There is no safety for honest men except by believing all possible evil of evil men."... Edmund Burke.

"Only the dead have seen the end of war."... Plato

Here
is the point I like to emphasize, especially to the thousands of police
officers and soldiers I speak to each year. In nature the sheep, real
sheep, are born as sheep. Sheepdogs are born that way, and so are
wolves. They didn't have a choice.

But
you are not a critter. As a human being, you can be whatever you want
to be. It is a conscious, moral decision. If you want to be a sheep,
then you can be a sheep and that is okay, but you must understand the
price you pay. When the wolf comes, you and your loved ones are going
to die if there is not a sheepdog there to protect you.

If
you want to be a wolf, you can be one, but the sheepdogs are going to
hunt you down and you will never have rest, safety, trust or love.

But
if you want to be a sheepdog and walk the warrior's path, then you must
make a conscious and moral decision every day to dedicate, equip and
prepare yourself to thrive in that toxic, corrosive moment when the
wolf comes knocking at the door.

Indeed,
the sheep dog may just run a little harder, strive to protect a little
better and be fully prepared to pay an ultimate price in battle and
spirit with the sheep moving from baa to thanks.

We
do not call for gifts or freedoms beyond our lot. We just need a small
pat on the head, a smile and a thank you to fill the emotional tank
which is drained protecting the sheep. And when our number is called by
The Almighty, and day retreats into night, a small prayer before the
heavens just may be in order to say thanks for letting you continue to
be a sheep. And be grateful for the thousands, millions of American
sheepdogs who permit you the freedom to express even bad ideas.

******
I AM A SHEEPDOG.

Defeatist Allies

America's "surge" tactic in Iraq - flooding Baghdad with 30,000 extra
US troops - is set to fail, a committee of British MPs has concluded.
This from SKY NEWS.

We are doomed according to a group of dhimmi MP's in London.

Why are these MP's aiding and abetting lawless terrorists?

"It is too early to provide a definitive assessment of the US
'surge' but it does not look likely to succeed," the MPs concluded.

"We
believe that the success of this strategy will ultimately ride on
whether Iraq's politicians are able to reach agreement on a number of
key issues."

Why phrase this as American failure? Why not say that the battle is within Iraqi politics and that the surge is aiding the process? Why do these idiot politicians want to surrender to the lawless ISLAMIC HORDES.

The committee also hit out at aspects of the UK and allies' approach
to the Palestinian situation and called on former Prime Minister Tony
Blair to "urgently consider" engaging with Hamas.

It said the
collapse of the unity government had been hastened by the failure to
relax a financial boycott imposed after the election victory of Hamas.

So, the West's failure to fund TERRORISTS, who KILL INNOCENT PEOPLE, is why there is no peace in the Mid-East.

What a load of crap! Total crap.

The Democrats in the US are no better.
